I love the idea of giving an adorable jar of honey, like this one, to new Beehives.

Along with a tag reminding them of what it means to be a Beehive.

Infact, why not give them a jar of honey at Christmas or at the beginning of the New Year.

Refashion Show

This refashioned sweatshirt (below) made me think of you girls.  "You and your cute selves!"

It also got me thinking about putting together a "Refashion Show" with an emphasis on modesty of course.  :)

Wouldn't it be fun to have the Young Women and the Relief Society Women work together on this project?!  It would definitely qualify for a 10 hour project for one or more young women.

Artsy Ring Dish

I have been trying to come up with ideas for crafts, that the girls will actually keep and use. Something that will not end up on the floor, under the bed, or in the trash can. I have a hard time seeing money, time, and creativity go to waste.

I am very happy with this little guy, or should I say gal (it is kind of a girly thing).  Though you could man it up, for a Father's Day coin dish.  Oh, the possibilities!

I found these little sauce dishes at our local 99cent store.  I initially grabbed a few for myself, for kitchen use.  But then I got thinking...  "this would be perfect to use as a ring dish".

*

How fun would it be to use permanent markers to design them how ever you wished?  Endless creative possibilities!

*

I was sold on the idea!  Then I bought the whole shelf.  The cashier asked me what I was going to do with all of them.  I proudly described my plans.  She loved it too!  And I smiled.

*

I made one to place on top of my dresser.  But I am thinking I should make another one to put in my kitchen.  I remove my rings frequently when I am baking, especially when making pizza dough.

NOTE

I found that you'll want to make sure the ink is completely dry before touching.  It dries quickly, but it may smear if you touch it right away.  Just sayin'.

Memory Boards

Last night we had the girls make memory boards to hang in their rooms. They all turned so cute!

I spent all day trying to find the perfect material for Emmie's room but finally decided to go with the Princess theme, plus the material was sparkelly and that means alot! (I love sparkles!) I am so proud of myself it actually looks very cute in her room! I have left over material so I think my next project will be an accent pillow for her bed... Wow I sound like a little homemaker!

Personalized Soap

Last night for YW, we made these really cool bars of soap.

We took a bar of Ivory soap (because it was flat) and decorated one side of it with stickers, paper, etc. Then dipped the side that was decorated into melted paraffin wax. It gave it a clear seal but still usable.

We thought they would make a great soap to have at girls camp....You know what I mean? The one soap in camp that everyone is afraid of... the one that is hangin' from who know's panty hose, from the faucet? Why not make it more inviting?
