DANCE: Hawaiian Paradise

Our seniors chose the theme "Hawaiian Paradise" for the dance held during our Stake Youth Conference this year. They did an awesome job transforming the large gymnasium beforehand.

I wish I would have taken more photos of the decorations. The photos I took during the dance ended up being blurry, like this one below... the one and only Kenneth Cope burning up the dance floor. He danced all night long. The youth absolutely adored him.

DECOR/AMBIANCE
Surf boards cut out from cardboard and painted.
Large paper hibiscus flowers.
Palm trees cut from butcher paper.
White lights... always.
*
EXTRAS
Flower leis were given to everyone as they arrived.

MUSIC play list ideas
Wipe Out, Beach Boys
more to come... :)
*
DRESS for the youth
The youth were encouraged to dress in appropriate Hawaiian attire.
*
ATTIRE for the leaders
With the youth all dressing in Hawaiian attire, it seemed only logical that we, the leaders, dress as members of the Hawaii Five-0 Task "Dance" Force. :)
*
We all dressed in white shirts, black pants, and sunglasses. Outfit was completed with i.d. and badges (simply printed out on card stock and laminated, i.d. hung from a lanyard).
