"May You Have"

I came across a wonderful thought from President Harold B. Lee. I found it within a First Presidency Message from August 1973, Your Light to Be a Standard unto the NationsI love this!

"It is well that we remember that the trials, difficulties, and experiences of life all have purpose. There came to me on the occasion of a year in my life to be remembered when the lovely sisters of our Relief Society wrote this as a prayer in my behalf. It was entitled "May You Have":
*
Enough happiness to keep you sweet,
Enough trials to keep you strong,
Enough sorrow to keep you human,
Enough hope to keep you happy,
Enough failure to keep you humble,
Enough success to keep you eager,
Enough wealth to meet your needs,
Enough enthusiasm to look forward,
Enough friends to give you comfort,
Enough faith to banish depression,
Enough determination to make each day better than yesterday.

Just thought I would share!  :)

By the way, I chose to couple the thought with this particular photograph because this photo speaks optimisim to me.   Photo found here.
  • The young girl - representing each of us on our journey in life.
  • The stairway (to heaven) - our journey in life.  An uphill climb.
  •  The beautifully designed path of tiles  - the plan of happiness that our Heavenly Father has laid for us.
  • "May you have a life focused on the journey and all the beautiful experiences it has to offer, not just the trial of the climb."  - Terri  :)
